In 2012, 1,823 underserved kids in D.C. Wards 5, 6, 7 and 8 received free health care services from the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile®.
In association with MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, this mobile “doctor’s office on wheels” provides improved access to quality health care where children need it most – in their community. All children under the age of 21 are eligible for care, whether or not they have medical insurance. Free services include: primary care, newborn exams, well child visits, immunizations and ophthalmic exams, as well as social service and mental health consultations. The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile is unique in its holistic approach to providing health care, delivering not only comprehensive primary care but preventive care through education and advocacy.
